Rescue1 Youth Club is a 501 c3 non-profit organization that coaches and mentors youth, young adults and persons with disabilities by providing them opportunities, skills and resources for their well-being, self-sufficient individuals, harness life skill training and community involvement enabling them to exist meaningfully and purposefully in our community. We adopted an integrative holistic approach to communicate our vision to the youth.

Our focus is to foster leadership with the youth and the ability to explore interests, develop confidence, resilience and talents to enable them thrive in their learning environment as well-rounded individuals.

Our Goal

Our main goal as a non profit organization is to build vocational centers in each school community to provide more resources for the youth to participate and engage in hands on experience skill training to enable them hone these skills and be masters of their own trade and monetize in the future in addition to their career path.This initiative will assist in empowering our youth In career readiness, identifying their God given talents and skills, mentoring mechanisms and opportunity to grow personally, stay focused and be committed future citizens in our community.

How Personal Struggles Sparked a Life-Changing Mentorship Journey

The concept that birthed this practical coaching programs roots from childhood. 

As a child, I was fortunate to grow up in a household where my mom taught me valuable life skills which is the foundation of my coaching and mentoring abilities. Now as a mom I  wanted to instill the same values to my 4 children, however I met persistent resistance.  Not just at home, as a parent volunteer I observed that many students I saw were reluctant to tidy up their personal space, show empathy to their fellow peers, not willing to socialize and no value for time. Learning it and other essential skills on this program is crucial.

After years of cleaning after my children it dawned on me that tidying up can become fun and not a chore. 

When I started my new approach with them, gradually I noticed their messy rooms were turning into New Haven also coaching them on financial literacy on how to save and budget their little income was beginning to impact them positively which saved me from irrelevant expenses. In today's world, life has become so busy hence there is an urgency to get things done.

TidyMeCool

TidyMe.Cool is an 8-week 10 module extracurricular program designed to coach and mentor children, youth and young adults with essential life skills, social and interpersonal developmental skills, career readiness, homework support and STEM activities. Every module we offer is thoughtfully put together so the children can learn, explore, and grow in meaningful ways. We have integrated Social Emotional Learning, Literacy, Math and Stem into each exprience so that while they are learning they are also having fun with others, being creative thinkers, solving problems and expressing themselves confidently. Every activity in the modules is a chance for them to discover what they are good at and love doing and actually hone that skill. As these skills become part of them while practicing continuously aiming towards perfection, it will eventually become resourceful opportunities to earn an income, either as a small business, side hustle or as a career. Every child has something valuable in them and at TidyMeCool our job is to help bring it to life.

I Matter

"I Matter" is an engaging and interactive youth talk show designed specifically to give voice to empower youth audience to encourage, inspire, and empower young people to discuss important issues, explore their potential, achieve purpose, provide resources to support their future goals and foster a sense of community engagement. This Talk Show is organized by Rescue1 Youth Club.
